PEME Medical Support

Thorough medical testing, including drug and alcohol screening, must be carried out by a licensed medical professional or as ordered by the Principal/Owner prior to entering.

• Arrangement of Pre-Employment Medical Examinations (PEME) through approved and flag-state-recognized medical clinics.
• Ensuring compliance with MLC 2006, STCW, and flag state medical requirements.
• Coordination of medical tests, vaccinations, and specialist assessments as required by ship owners or flag administrations.
• Verification and documentation of medical fitness certificates prior to crew deployment.
• Monitoring medical certificate validity and renewal schedules.
• Assistance with urgent or express medical examinations for short-notice crew joining.
• Maintaining confidential medical records in line with data protection standards.
• Liaison with ship owners, clinics, and flag authorities regarding medical compliance issues.
